What are Beliefs and How Do Beliefs Work?
Beliefs are the software that drive the subconscious mind toward the programmed outcome. If your beliefs say there is lack in your world, then you will find lack. If you believe there is abundance in your world and that you are worthy of it, you will draw abundance toward you.
When Are Beliefs Formed?
Your beliefs are mostly formed before the age of 7, by things we are taught be parents and our society. They come in through repeated programming, teachings, trauma and experiences. They start out as thoughts about ourselves and then get planted more deeply and actually become self-fulfilling.
Can We Change Them?
Through various experiences in life, intentionality and working on them yes, we can change them. By using a set of skills from NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming, we can speed that process up exponentially. The key is to convince your subconscious to let go of the past because you are staying in your integrity and in alignment with your core values.
How Do We Know What Our Subconscious Mind Believes?
One way to know is to look at your life. If you are happy and have a good life then in all areas, your subconscious is well programmed. In the areas where you life isn’t working or you are experiencing lower self-esteem, frustration or lack, your beliefs are behind the scenes helping you to create that. As we pay attention our beliefs become more conscious. Our most hidden subconscious beliefs often feel embarrassing once we see them. It’s a powerful tool to learn how to change the beliefs that limit you into powerful core beliefs that support you. I’ll be teaching that skill this summer.
