Today, I feel passionate about writing to you about the difference between the words psychic and intuitive. I want to hopefully clear up some myths and misunderstandings. This related to how we define these words and what we associate them with.
For years, I have resisted the use of the word psychic because of misunderstandings about psychics and their abilities. For me, it used to conjure up images of gypsy fortunetellers in turbans hovering over a crystal ball, telling people the future.
I have also had experiences with clients who sadly had been told things by a “psychic” that didn’t come true and that left them amiss. People can give away their power to any healer, psychic or doctor. In my opinion, it is most important to tune into your own self, with the help sometimes of skilled teachers, healers, and friends. It is essential to trust your own intuition first and foremost. If you choose to visit a healer, be clear to listen to what your own body, heart and inner voice are telling you. If someone tells you something that does not feel right to you, please listen to yourself. Their intuition does not override your own.
Predictions: The future is fiction. It is energy and it’s flow. We can’t really effectively foretell the future and that is not the purpose of our abilities. There are things that seem to be in our destiny and those things will come your way, whether you plan for them or not, because source has placed them there. On occasion those things are shown before they come and that can make for a sense of what is coming your way. However, for most things, know that you effect the outcome of your life through your thoughts, intentions and choices. You have the power to shift the energy. You are made from love, so create lovingly.
Your intuition is innate. It is the voice of your soul or spirit guiding you through life. It’s your inner guidance system, your innate gps. It is there to help you, guide you and keep you on track. Our intuition helps us stay in alignment with source and our life purpose if we are wiling to listen and to trust it. When we are in alignment magic happens and the way is cleared. As we step more and more into alignment, synchronicity increases.
I feel passionate about the intuition and its’ power to support us from the core of our being. I believe that our innate intuition is already clear and accurate. If you and I were lucky enough to be clear and free of issues, it would work consistently and accurately. It leads us toward our heart’s desire and away from pain. It has only your best interest at heart.
