Over the course of my life, I developed an intense fear of flying. This was creating a distressing conflict with my love of travel for fun and work. An avid international traveler, I had spent tons of time in the air, but I found the experience increasingly stressful. In addition to all of the worrisome thoughts that gripped me, any bit of turbulence sent me into a sweaty panic. I recognized my flight or fight reaction. I also realized that I was unable to stop my physiological reaction once it got triggered. With two trips to China and France planned in the coming months, I sought help from Dawn with some NLP.
In one session with Dawn, we worked through my thought processes and reprogrammed my mental state. I found our session fascinating as we discovered what was behind my associations with the fear of flying and replaced those with positive associations.
