Happy Father’s Day!
Years ago, I wrote a letter to men. It touched a lot of hearts and was shared forward. This is one that I wrote now along the same “veins”.
Dear Men,
Today, I send you my deepest gratitude. I know that many of you are deeply compassionate and working very hard on yourself. You are good people, working to become even better.
I know that sometimes you, as men, get a bum rap. There is a lot of pressure and societal programming on you to perform in a certain way. I offer support to you in letting that go and becoming more authentic and true to yourself. I know that the programming runs through your blood and bone and it’s not always easy to release. I know that we have also asked you to become more sensitive while also being in the world. Thank you for working on yourselves.
Thank you for all the times that you have stepped up, offered a kind and loving hand to a man, woman or child. Thank you being kind to plants, birds, animals and the Earth. Thank you for creating a safe place in my/our world. I know that you here to love.
I hope that you can set down the burdens of “manhood” and “fatherhood” that society has placed upon you. Use the power that runs through you to honor your higher power, your divine masculine and feminine and who you really are.
I send you my deepest love and my greatest thanks, my humble apologies and my heartfelt forgiveness. Thank you to all of you who are good people, good fathers, good friends and partners to others.
Thank you for being yourself, doing the best you can to love. I hope you truly enjoy your precious life. I see the heart that beats inside you. I see you care. I see your love and I thank you.
