What are Beliefs and How Do Beliefs Work?
Beliefs are the software that drive the subconscious mind toward the programmed outcome. If your beliefs support your well-being, you are more inclined to be and feel healthy. How are Beliefs Formed?
Beliefs are most formed before the age of 7. When we are taught at an early age by our parents, our educators and our society, we don’t yet have the filter of discernment to sort out what is coming in. It’s been likened to being like a sponge or open receptacle.
The repeating stories we hear become the programming that enters our subconscious mind. Very few of us were raised in homes where the law of attraction theories were spoken freely. As these thoughts enter, whether positive or negative, they get planted deeply and become self-fulfilling.
How Do You Know What Your Subconscious Mind Believes?
One way of the main ways to witness this is to at your life. In the places where you feel naturally happy and have a good life your subconscious is well programmed. In the areas where you struggle, where you suffer a lack of money, poor health, or low self-esteem chances are your unconscious beliefs are a participant in creating that.
What Holds Your Old Beliefs in Place?
Belief it or not your core values, such as love, loyalty, safety and protection are what hold your core values in place, even the limiting ones. If in our childhood we need safety but we are not safe, we might decide that we are not safe, in order to protect ourselves. The core value holding that belief in place is actually safety.
Or perhaps we come from a family where there is a lot ill health and we must align with the story of ill health in order to fell a part of the family. Then loyalty might be holding the old belief in place.
Knowing how to keep the core value and change the core belief is a really valuable tool. The core value is what keeps your beliefs stuck. It is also what can help you change them.
