Why Live as Your Higher Self?
I often talk about meeting our Spirit Guides and Angels and the great value of knowing them. It’s true in my life and that of others. Our Spirit Guides and Angels though defer to our Higher Self. That part is the wise, loving, Over-soul that creates, guides and directs this lifetime.
Sometimes very intuitive people who have heard their guides for years have asked why their guides have become quieter. This is often because they want us to listen to our own Self over and above anything we perceive as coming from another being. Our Higher Self is a greater guide. It is directly connected to source love, our Creator.
How to Live as Your Higher Self Exercise
1. Relax. Do this with your eyes open or closed. I’m doing it now, asking my Higher Self to guide my writing and imprint it with information and love.
2. Imagine Your Higher Self Is Standing Behind You. Sense him or her, tall, big, protective, filling you with light, guiding and guarding your life.
3. Use Your Inner Senses To Tune In. Sometimes people hope, expect or imagine that their inner senses will be the same as their outer sense. They are similar and yet more subtle. They are developed through trust.
4. Trust What You Get. When doubt comes in, it can stop the flow of your guidance. The simple decision to trust what you get can make a huge difference. Your instinct is valuable and strong. Like any muscle, it improves with use.
5. Request To Be Aligned. Ask your Higher Self to align with you. Tell him or her that you want to increase your daily contact. Set your programming and expectations aside. Be still and listen. Feel the alignment happening.
6. Ask for Guidance From Your Higher Self. Take some time to ask specific questions about your life. Ask only one question at a time. It makes the process easier if you ask yes and no questions, especially to start.
7. Move Into Your Higher Self’s Heart. Imagine your Higher Self makes a cup with his or her hands and you can sit in that cup. Then move from the hands into your Higher Self’s heart. Become your High Self.
8. Plan to live as your Higher Self. You are an infinite being with infinite potential Living as your higher self can teach you many things and increase your confidence immensely. It’s a very valuable practice. I’ve been stepping into my Higher Self’s heart for a while now and find this to be a very valuable practice. I plan to stay there for the rest of my life.
